Marneus Calgar is the greatest warrior available to a Space Marine player. With his Gauntlets of Ultramar he is perfect for dealing with high toughness enemy units such as Wraithlords and Carnifexs. Setting him above other Marine Commanders is his extra wound. This enables him to defeat the mightiest enemy characters such as Demon Princes and Hive Tyrants. Marneus should always be in the thick of the fighting and is best kept near the centre of your army to allow him greater flexibility and to deter the enemy from rushing into assault.
