Age: 12 to adult.

If
you like movies about the walking dead then you are going to absolutely
love this wicked little title from Twilight Creations.
Zombies
plonks you down in the middle of a town overrun by flesh-eating
ex-humans and it is up to you to survive long enough to escape
to the local helipad and be rescued.
You
are not alone, your fellow players will have the same troubles
with zombies, however the aim of the game is for you to be the
first to clear the helipad of the monsters and if that means being
mean to your opponents ... well so be it.
Zombies
is a tile game and as each player begins a turn they add a new
tile to the townscape, connecting them road by road.
Each
time a new tile goes down a new batch of zombies appears and,
if you are lucky, extra health points and bullets. The HPs and
bullets are necessary as each time you are in contact with one
of the nifty little zombie plastic figures you have to roll a
die.
On
a four or more you kill the creature and add it to your trophy
collection of rotting corpses. For each number under the magic
four you lose a bullet, or a health point. You can have an endless
number of bullets, but health points are limited to five per person
at any one time.
Other
things to help you on your way are event cards - done in terrific
1950s-style artwork - that can make your survival easier and can
hamstring your opponents.
One
of the really fun things about Zombies is that you can enter a
game late and still have a chance of winning. If you die during
the game it's no big deal as you just start again in the town
square, although you do lose half your dead zombies. Kill 25 of
them and you also win the game.
Zombies
is fun, easy and a lot of laughs.
