Big launches are coming for three major events in the next little while.

Firstly we have the Flames of War early WWII book coming out imminently. We have pre-orders so if you haven't done so then be in quick.

Then it's Games Workshop's new box set Island of Blood. We've got an early copy in at BatteZone and the figures look fabbo.

The High Elf prince on a Griffon is getting a lot of positive comments and, of course, it's unique to the set.

The third big event is that I'm running as a councilor for Tauranga City and you can find out all about it via the ad (above right) or at www.richardmoore.com.

Warhammer fantasy continues to be really big around the place with the new rules winning a lot of fans.

Sadly the price of Flames of War figures has shot up and so new stock is at the new price. Any complaints send them to BattleFront.

And of course GST is set to rise by 2.5% in October so that's going to be fun too.

Our sell off of Dungeons and Dragons books and figures continues and they are at really good prices.

What is BattleZone?

If you are into games and live in Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa, Rotorua or the Western Bay of Plenty we have just the place for you to get all your gaming needs.

BattleZone is a hobby shop for gamers and we not only stock the latest figures for Warhammer and 40,000, but also those for Flames of War and Lord of the Rings.

We have tables available for people to come in and play games with their friends, and also painting areas so you can paint your models.

But BattleZone is more than just table-top miniatures wargaming, we offer boardgames - such as the Axis and Allies series - and plenty of accessories.

BattleZone is owned by Ken Hay and Richard Moore.

The BattleZone shop is at 1/77 Girven Rd, Mount Maunganui, and is close to both BayWave and the Bayfair Shopping Centre.
